Past Friends

Names that evoke memories and stories from golf days and
Irish Tours long gone.
They may not be with us any more but are certainly not forgotten.

Harry Adamson
Harry who played football with the legendary England centre forward Tommy Lawton for Notts County, was instrumental in getting us off the ground back in 1992.

Jimmy Moran
The quite, but ever-willing Mayo-man. Though coming to golf late in life, he loved the game and, expecially the Irish Tours and sing-songs.
My abiding memory of jimmy is of him flaked-out bolt upright on the settee in Carne Clubhouse

Liam White
As a Tipperary man, I suppose it was only to be expected that Liam should hold the club the wrong way round. But it didn't stop him from winning. And, despite his competitive nature,I know he was there more for the craic, as much as anything.

Poraic Sweeney
For a man who didn't drink, it was dammed hard to get Padraic out of a pub, expecially if there was any sort of craic or music going on. Despite all his illnesses, there was more life in him than the rest of us put together.
